Exploring Reading Options

There were 3 stories that really caught my eye.

I've always wanted to read Arabian Nights, but always talked myself out of it when I was in a book store because the copies that I would find were so expensive.  I read the first part of the story, and I like how it is about a woman telling stories to keep herself alive and to save the reset of the women in the kingdom from meeting a terrible fate.

Robin Hood was one of my favorite Disney movies growing up.  I really like how these versions are portrayed in ballads.  It does make it a bit more difficult to read, but I assume it is just something to get used to.  It would be interesting attempting to write a story in that format.

When I was in elementary school I loved Egyptian mythology.  These stories are slightly different than the watered down versions that were provided to me at that age.  My favorite was the stories about the book of the dead.  It always seemed remarkable how many trials they would have to go through to get to the afterlife.
