Talking About Assignments

What assignments are you most intrigued by? How is this like/unlike what you have done in other classes? Are there any extra credit options that grab your attention?

 I am really excited about getting the opportunity to write stories.  I love stories, but I am so-so at telling them.  I am hoping that retelling a story every week will help strengthen my 'story telling muscles'.  The storybook sounds fun as well.  I have a 13 year old sister who loves stories and wants to be a writer someday, so I want to write something that she will enjoy.  

 I am in the college of engineering, so I have never taken a class like this before.  Most of my classes are based around optimization or math,  and there is almost always a correct answer.  It will be refreshing to have a class that has the option of everyone having completely different outcomes to assignments.  

 I am really excited about doing the extra credit project called Wikipedia Trails.  I often do that when I am looking something or someone up on Wikipedia.  I can start out looking up the lyrics to a Disney song and end up reading about the mystery of how Arron Burr's daughter died.

Introduction to a Queen

Hello!  My name is Kathleen Taylor.  Just for clarification, my title says "Introduction to a Queen" because queen rhymes with Kathleen, so I tend to pair the two together. Story Week 9

There was once a college student named Laurel.  Laurel had spent weeks looking for a roommate.  She noticed a that someone else had put a post on the school’s Facebook page, saying that they also needed a roommate.  Laurel messaged this person, Olivia, and set up a time for them to meet. Laurel asked Olivia some things about herself, and came to find that they had the same major, enjoyed the same TV shows, and liked similar food.  ‘This is perfect!’ thought Laurel, ‘We are equals, this will work.’ Laurel asked Olivia if she would like to move in to the same apartment together, and Olivia accepted.  Laurel and Olivia lived together for a while.  Soon they fell into a routine.  Olivia would give Laurel a ride to school, and would pick up Laurel from her job in the evening.  They would both make dinner, but Olivia would pay for the basic groceries, like butter and milk.    One day, Laurel was talking to her friends about Olivia.  Olivia was upset that Laurel had not d
